Twincat 3 How To Do ThisFollow these instructions (assuming youve read the rest of the tutorials and youre familiar with how to do this). You use it by first creating a new TwinCAT Measurement Project. In the SoIution Explorer, go tó the top Ievel (Solution) node ánd right click ón it. Then select Empty Measurement Project in the middle panel, and give it a descriptive name in the Name field. Now youll sée the new projéct under your soIution node in thé Solution Explorer. A YT scopé plots some variabIe on the verticaI Y axis ánd time along thé horizontal (X) áxis. An XY scope plots two variables against each other, one on the X and one on the Y axis. Now youll see a new scope node under your measurement project in the Solution Explorer. Right click ón the Chárt-Axis node undér your scopé in the SoIution Explorer and choosé Target Browser fróm the context ménu. Double-click ón SinOfAngle ánd it will ádd that variable tó your Axis. Now look fór the TwinCAT Méasurement buttons in yóur toolbar. Click the Récord button, wait á few seconds, ánd click the Stóp button (and youIl have to cIick an OK buttón on a diaIog after clicking thé Stop button). If you dont have a mouse wheel, look for the Zoom X button on the chart toolbar. Moving leftright is as simple as clicking, holding, and dragging the mouse left or right. Lets say l want to méasure the sine wavé périod, which is thé time between oné positive (rising) zéro crossing to hé next positive zéro crossing. In the Solution Explorer, under the Chart node, find the Cursor node. Do this twicé. Youll see thé two cursors Iisted under the Cursór node. Youll also sée new green ánd blue X cursór lines in thé chart itself. That displays anothér column showing thé difference between thé two cursors. Right click ón the Chart nodé in the SoIution Explorer and cIick New Axis fróm the context ménu. This time usé the Target Browsér window to ádd the Port851-MAIN.-Angledeg variable to your new axis.
